Itinerary
Day 1: Delhi - Arrival
Arrive at Delhi you meet and greet by our representative, proceed to the hotel, check in at hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight in the Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi (Sightseeing)
After breakfast, proceed to sightseeing of Delhi. Visit some renowned monuments established during different periods of time such as Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Humanyun Tomb, Qutub Minar, Birla Mandir, India Gate, President’s House and Connaught Place. The evening is fixed for light and sound show at Red Fort (optional). Stay overnight.
Day 3: Delhi - Srinagar
Post breakfast, you will receive an assisted transfer to the domestic airport to board a flight for Srinagar. Once you reach Srinagar, you are going to get an assisted transfer to your houseboat. The afternoon is free for leisure, you can visit the market the shop for some souvenirs. Stay overnight.
Day 4: Srinagar sightseeing
After breakfast, proceed for city tour of Srinagar which include the Mughal Gardens, Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. All the gardens are situated on the banks of the Dal Lake with the Zabarwan hills in the background, you can enjoy the Shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Visit Shankarachariya Temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located at the hill-top, at the height of 1000 feet.En route the gardens, visit a carpet weaving factory. Return hotel at late evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Srinagar - Pahalgam (94 kilometers)
After early morning breakfast transfer to Pahalgam , which is also called Valley of Shepherds. Pahalgam is located at the distance of about 94 kilometers. The town is famous for its heart stirring natural beauty, wooded trekking trails and is also the central point for Amarnath Yatra. En-route, you can halt at Avantipur Ruins if time permits. The place has 2 temples, devoted to Lord Vishnu. Around 1100 years old, these temples were erected by King Avantivarman.
On arrival check in at hotel. Rest day is free at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel in Pahalgam.
Day 6: Pahalgam - Chandanwari (16 kms) - Sheshnag (12 kms trek)
After early morning breakfast, proceed to Chandanwani by road.it is located at 2895 meters which is popular for its snow bridge. This place is the culminating point of the Amarnath Yatra. From here start the trek upward to Sheshnagh. After a sharp ascending trek, you will reach Pishoo Ghati pass, which is situated at the height of 13000 feet. On arrival, check into the camp. Enjoy the scenery of surroundings. Overnight in tents.
Day 7: Sheshnag - Panchtarni (14 kms trek)
Today, after breakfast, trek upward to Mahagunas top that is located at the height of 3377 meters. After this point, your trek gets easier and is a downward one that will lead you to Panchtarni, which is located at an altitude of 3657 meters, situated at the foothill of Bhairva mount. On arrival at Panchtarni, check into the camp. Rest day is free at leisure. Stay overnight in the camp.
Day 8: Panchtarni - Amarnath (3953 M) 6 kms trek - Baltal 4 hrs trek
After breakfast and begin the trekking to the holy Amarnath cave. This is one of the most important pilgrim place for Hindus, the holly cave containing the ice Lingam, is devoted to lord Shiva and is visited by thousands of devotees every year. Post Darshan, begin your sharp descending trek that will lead you to Baltal. Overnight stay in Camp.
Day 9: Baltal - Sonmarg - Srinagar (113 kms) Sightseeing
Post breakfast proceed to Srinagar via Sonmarg. It is known as Meadows of Gold .The very way-a metaled road - snakes through massive mountains laden with forests and firs. After a breath - taking journey from Srinagar, come across Sindh meanders that are abounded with trout & Mahseer. Onwards the valley opens up to a meadow. Ponies can be hired for a trip up to Thajiwas glacier - a major attraction during the summer months, See Snowy Mountains against a cerulean sky against its backdrop. In the evening, drive back towards Srinagar. On arrival, check-in at your hotel for staying overnight.
Day 10: Srinagar - Departure
